Nominations for the 2023 Cadbury Volunteer of the Year Awards are now open!

Netball New Zealand and Cadbury, our Official Volunteer Partner, are pleased to be acknowledging the very best of our Community Netball volunteers. Who at your Netball Centre couldn’t you be without? Who is always putting up their hand to help out? We know volunteers don’t do it for recognition however, nominating a volunteer is the perfect way to acknowledge the work that they do and to say thank you.

There are five categories a volunteer can be nominated for:

  • Volunteer Coach of the Year
  • Volunteer Official of the Year
  • Volunteer Administrator of the Year
  • Youth Volunteer of the Year
  • Community Volunteer Champion of the Year

The full ‘Category Descriptions & Judging Criteria’ (including the definition of a volunteer and the age limits for the youth category) can be found here.

Nominate here. More info on the NNZ Volunteer website here. Entries open: Mon, 4 Sep for 3 weeks and close Sun, 24 Sept at midnight.

Netball Northern Zone is seeking applications from coaches interested in the Northern Marvels Head Coach role for 2024-2025.

The aim of the Northern Marvels Campaign and Programme is to increase the depth and quality of netball athletes within the Northern Zone, and to create upward pressure for selection into the ANZ Premiership, in the future.

The Northern Marvels Head Coach has overall responsibility for the selection, leadership, coaching, management, and performance of the Northern Marvels Squad.  They will work closely with the Northern Mystics Head Coach, the Northern Zone High Performance Coach Developer, and the Northern Zone Athlete Development Lead.  This level of collaboration is designed to ensure an effective performance programme is implemented, where the primary focus addresses individual athlete development for team performance.
