Christmas closedown period 

Netball Northern’s Christmas closedown period is - Close Monday 23 December 2024 - re-open Wednesday 8 January 2025.

UNISS 2025 – change of venue

We’ve been advised the 2025 UNISS Tournament venue has changed and will now be held at Auckland Netball Centre.

The change from the original venue, Papakura Netball Centre, is due to a clash with both Basketball and Rugby League tournaments on at the Pulman Park and Arena during Winter Tournament Week and the pressure on the facilities.

Umpire Theory Exams 2025

Please visit the Theory Exam page on our website for information on the NNZ Umpire Theory exams for 2025.

Action:  Please contact any umpires who may wish to sit these exams, or whose theory may have expired (6 years after last sat).

Aktive Accessible Sport and Rec Workshop

Following the 2024 I.Lead Conference, inviting 40 young disabled people, Aktive are keen to run an Accessible Sport and Recreation Workshop on how to improve their experiences as we strive to create a more equitable sector.

This 2-hour workshop is targeted at all levels of the sport and recreation workforce who’d like to learn more about supporting young disabled people to have a positive experience and increase participate in your sport or recreation activity.

This includes those who are already working with the disabled community, particularly those working with key adult influencers (administrators, coaches, teachers, parents & whānau).

Sport NZ Conference Scholarships for teachers and coaches

Sport NZ is offering five scholarships for teachers and five scholarships for community coaches to attend the 8th International Teaching Games for Understanding Conference taking place in Auckland in December 2024

Sport NZ - Let’s celebrate our Everyday Heros

Sport NZ have launched their Everyday Heroes campaign which aims to make coaches feel thanked and valued.

The campaign directs people to thankscoach.co.nz where anyone can create a personalised digital thank you message and have it sent to their coach.
