Topic - Aktive Good Sports Professional Development Opportunity

Netball Northern and Aktive are looking to run a netball specific Good Sports professional development course for those within our zone – should we receive sufficient interest.

We’re currently asking for Expressions of Interest (closing Tuesday 10 Sept)

The course would more than likely be:

  • 1-day course in October
  • between 9.30am-4pm,
  • at Netball Manurewa Centre 

The course is for centre personnel (games people), umpire or coach people, anyone working at a centre that is looking for professional development in this space.

Topic.  Life Member and Service Awards

Reminder: The Netball New Zealand Life Member and Service Award nominations need to be submitted before 5pm, 4 October 2024.  Nomination forms can be found and completed online here 

Action: Please note, before you complete the Life Member and Service Award nomination form you must read the corresponding guidelines. It’s important you have all the correct information before you complete the online nomination form.

The LMSA committee can only assess the application based on the information you send. All applications will need to be submitted on time and the CV sent to the below email address.

Topic - Sport NZ Conference Scholarships for teachers and coaches

Sport NZ is offering five scholarships for teachers and five scholarships for community coaches to attend the 8th International Teaching Games for Understanding Conference taking place in Auckland in December 2024

Sport NZ have launched their Everyday Heroes campaign which aims to make coaches feel thanked and valued.

The campaign directs people to thankscoach.co.nz where anyone can create a personalised digital thank you message and have it sent to their coach.
